Monosilk Artist Signing

This past month, we had many artists in the Xico Galería. Why you might ask? Well Xico artists over 2 days created monosilks at a Xico hosted weekend workshops with master printer, David Manje at The Mesa Arts Center. During these workshops artists get to hone their craft or learn a new one, in printmaking. The artwork that is created is allowed to dry and assembled. The artists are then invited for a pulling party! Xico gets a third of the artwork created to be part of our Annual Dinner and Art Auction.

Xico’s Printmaking Workshop Program started in 1992, allowing artists to engage with new media  and also meet other local, national, and international artists. As a result, the community of artists get to come together in an environment of inspiration, leaving with new skills, new artwork in hand, and new artist connections.
